The day fate (and Guinness) stepped in
Elena walked into the office for her first day at work, unknowingly walking straight into my life. That evening, at a work social, I handed her a Guinness with a "lucky clover" on top. Whether it was the Guinness or my charm is still up for debate - but either way, she was hooked.
Bonding over tacos and her charming ability to fill every moment with conversation.
At some point between the starters and desserts, we both knew we’d found our person. Elena talked. A lot. I nodded. A lot. And somehow, between bites of guacamole, we both realised we never wanted this night to end.
I couldn‘t keep it in any longer
Just a little over a month into dating, I couldn’t resist telling Elena I loved her. And as if that wasn’t enough of a leap, I also introduced her to my family shortly after. Confident? Definitely. Sweet? Absolutely, if you ask me. But above all, I couldn’t wait for us to be a part of each other's worlds.
Proposed at the beach in Cornwall
I knew from the moment I visited this beach that it was the perfect place for our proposal. A beach, a heartfelt speech, a ”YES”—and here we are, ready for the next adventure. Elena and I also visited Grantley Hall right before the proposal, and unknowingly, it became our now wedding venue.
Welcome to adulthood
We took a big step in 2024 and bought our first home together in Tonbridge. Within days, we discovered that homeownership is mainly signing up for surprise DIY projects. We are so excited to start our married life together in our new home .
The Best Day Ever (Coming Soon!)
A day filled with love, laughter, and at least one happy tear ... from me. There will be speeches, unforgettable dance moves, and an unspoken competition for who can stay on the dance floor the longest. I will try my best to keep up. Elena will obviously win.
At the end of it all, there will be a lifetime of memories, and a very, very good excuse for a honeymoon.
Milo the Golden Retriever: A work in progress
Elena’s dream is simple — a golden retriever named Milo. I’m not there yet. Elena‘s plan is long-term: if she doesn’t win, she thinks our future children will. I have a feeling this battle is far from over.
